Can Our Gates Be Made To Measure?
Yes all of our gates can be made to any size. We will gladly help you calculate the size gates you require, but ultimately we need you to take responsibility of the size of your gates.

Can you make a design of my choice?
Yes we will take a look and if the design is stable we will do our best to make your design into a reality.

What types of timber do you use to make your gates?
Our softwood wooden gates are made from a premium Scandinavian timber. We also make gates in kiln dried Sipo, Iroko and Oak hardwoods.

Do you supply hinges and latches with your gates?
Yes we can supply you with a selection of galvanised or epoxy black on galvanised hinges and latches.

Can you fit the hinges & latches to my wooden gates?
Yes, this costs £15.00 per gate.

Where does your timber come from?
All of our timber comes from sustainable managed forests from Scandinavia and Africa and Europe. It is all FSC or PEFC certified.

What treatment options are available?
Our softwood is a Scandinavian timber, which is Kiln Dried to around 14% water content, which is why we use spirit based treatments rather than a water based product. Our treatment can be reapplied with minimal fuss annually by yourself which is available from us in small tins or with an all-in-one spirit treatment available from your local DIY store.

If I order a gate, how long will it take to arrive?
Our approximate lead time can be found on our homepage. As we offer a made-to-measure service, the manufacturing process takes longer as a lot of things need to be done by hand. Once your order is ready we will call you to arrange delivery date at your convenience.

What Guarantees Do I have with your gate
We offer a workmanship warranty on our timber gates. This covers you against problems that arise due to the workmanship (manufacture) of the gate(s). If on the rare occasion of faulty manufacturing we will sort this as soon as possible with the gates being returned / repaired / replaced.

Things like water damage are almost always down to the use of the wrong treatment or no treatment being applied (applies to softwood a lot more than hardwood).

Because timber is a living product, it is impossible to guarantee against natural movement (twisting, bowing, spliting, cracking etc). Our timber is of a high quality (Kiln Dried to 14% water content), which is much more stable than fencing grade products and thus minimises the movement potential. However, any piece of timber can move and it is often impossible to tell which piece will and which piece won't, and therefore we cannot guarantee against a characteristic that is natural part of the product itself.

How much is delivery?
Delivery is FREE on everything to the UK mainland. Other locations such as Scottish Highlands will incur a delivery cost due to our higher costs in getting the goods to you. Please call or email for prices.
